The Local Democracy Agency – Georgia (LDA-Georgia) with the Support of Kutaisi and Strasbourg City Hall, is Implementing a Project “Youth for Europe” 

The Local Democracy Agency – Georgia (LDA-Georgia) with the Support of Kutaisi and Strasbourg City Hall, is implementing a Project “Youth for Europe”.  In the framework of this project, selected participants have study visits in France, Strasbourg. 20th December, they visited to the European Council, the European Parliament and the European Youth Center. During the meetings, they received information about Georgian representatives in the European Council and the work of European institutions. Deputy Permanent Representative of Georgia to the European Council, Mariam Maisaia, introduced them an action plan for 2016-2019 and spoke about successfully implemented projects related to Human Rights. International youth projects presentation was held at the European Youth Center. Students share their experiences to each other and talked about deepening of future relationships. The visit will last till December, 23. On December 21-22, the participants will meet the Deputy Mayor of the city and will be involved in the discussion about the European values with the local students. The aim of the project is to raise awareness about European values and the European institutions among young people. Before the visit to Strasbourg, training seminars were conducted for 3 months for the selected participants about the importance of the European institutions and Human Rights Protection.
